Much like my September Favourites, this post was really easy to think up and to do. Quite a lot has happened this month and somehow I remembered everything and thought to write it down so my future self would have an easier job. Thanks past me! Some of the things in this list are really happy, others not so much, so it’s been a real mixed bag of emotions this month.

First things first, my cousins wedding at the very start of the month. I was very honoured to be asked to be a bridesmaid, and I felt so beautiful all day. I had my hair and makeup done by someone else which was a really nice change, and I got to wear the prettiest dress. It was so lovely to see them get married and I did cry a little bit; it was the first wedding I’ve ever been to and to be such a big part of it was so lovely. I especially enjoyed seeing my boyfriend dressed up all nice in a shirt and tie. Very cute.

On a slightly less happy note, we had my great-grandmothers funeral this month. She passed away at the end of August and the whole thing was really sad, as family deaths are. I’d also never been to a funeral so I found that quite difficult. She was 97 though, and she had lived an amazing life, and I enjoyed hearing about all her achievements because there was quite a few things that I didn’t know about her before that day. We found lots of old photos in her house as well, which are lovely to look through because there’s a lot of her when she was younger and a lot of me and her when I was a baby that I keep in my room now. I miss her a lot but I have some really nice memories with her, so I can’t ask for anything more.

Something that really upset me was having to leave my great-grandmothers funeral because I caught tonsillitis again. I had a sore throat for the week beforehand but it wasn’t until the morning of the funeral that I woke up and I could just tell that the tonsillitis was back. Cue several phonecalls to the doctors – one of which I was actually made to speak. Because it’s not as if my throat is closing up and is really painful to speak or anything. I’m thankful that it was nowhere near as bad as the last case of tonsillitis that I had, but I’m completely fed up of catching and just want my tonsils gone. I was told to just not take my antibiotics so I would be hospitalised and would get them taken out but I’m not sure I could put myself through that amount of pain…

On a slightly happier note, I met some of the most important people in my entire life this month. I travelled down to Birmingham to stay at my friend Laura’s house with a whole bunch of other blogging gals – I wrote about it separately in a post that you can find HERE. I’m so thankful to have these girls in my life, they make me so happy and to finally meet them was surreal.

Blogtober preparations have been in full swing for the past few weeks, I don’t think there’s been a day where I haven’t done something to prepare for this awful project I seem to be so keen to take on. I’m very excited though, I’m really loving all the themed photos and I can’t wait to start publishing content that I’ve worked so hard on and that I’m really proud of. I just hope I can actually manage to stay motivated and excited because I’m so determined to stick with it and not give up, but I don’t want to push myself if I don’t feel like it because that’s how you stop enjoying blogging. I hope you all love the content I publish as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it for you all!
