This month feels like it’s gone the quickest out of all the months, it feels like I’m gonna blink and it’ll be 2018 which is a little terrifying.
I was only in Budapest for 10 days out of the month, but it feels like the majority of my month was spent there, so this post might be a struggle. I can’t let myself not do a favourites post though, I write, photograph and post them religiously and I’d feel so lost if I didn’t write them.
At the start of the month I was very kindly sent some Crowd Colour matte liquid lipsticks to try out, I was sent 3 shades and I’m picking my favourite to share with you today. My favourite is Ruby which is the most gorgeous reddish-pink colour. I do actually find these a bit drying but least so with the red one – I really love the shade — but I found that it settled into all the cracks in my lips a little too much. But that’s probably just my lips because I find that with every matte liquid lipstick.
Sticking along the lines of makeup, I have found a primer/foundation combo that actually works for me and that I love using. I don’t want to go too in depth (as per usual) because I’ve got a full post coming on my full coverage base, but basically these products have changed the way I do makeup. Recommended to me by some of my favourite blog gals, I’ve been using the Barry M Flawless Colour Correcting primer – the green one – and Maybelline’s Fit Me foundation. I am currently looking for an alternative to the Maybelline foundation because I’m transitioning into cruelty free beauty, which I will go into more depth about in my June reflection post, so if anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
Something else beauty related that I’ve been obsessed with recently is multimasking. I don’t know why, but I never even considered this an option until recently when I started experimenting with a number of different facemasks and wanted to do them all at the same time. A few firm favourites are the L’oreal Pure Clay Glow mask, the Pixi Glow Mud mask and my little Mudmasky mask which I use for the worst of spots. I love being able to tailor which mask I use to whatever my face needs and let me tell you, there is nothing better than washing your face masks off and putting on your nighttime oils. Hello beautiful skin.
I briefly mentioned Budapest at the start of this post and obviously, that was a massive favourite of this month. I’d never been and I’m so glad we went because I had the time of my life! Whilst in Budapest, I pretty much became obsessed with peach iced tea. Every single day I would buy a little bottle whilst we were out and about, and I also had a big bottle for when we were back at the apartment. It’s weird, because now that we’re home I wont touch the stuff, and I had no interest in it before we went. So it turns out, the sun makes me crave peach iced tea? You learn weird things about yourself when you’re on holiday.
The perfumes I’ve been using exclusively since about April are these two – Romance by Ralph Lauren and Zoella’s Sweet Inspirations body mist. I actually lost Romance for a good few months and then I found it in the zippy bit of my handbag I use everyday. I’ve never felt more like an idiot. It’s my favourite perfume and the day I run out will be the worst day ever. I love the scent of Zoella’s entire Sweet Inspirations range, and the body mist just smells so fresh and summery to me.
So there’s another favourites post for the month done! I’m excited for (hopefully) some warmer weather in July so that I can show off some of my more summery clothes and brighten up my blog content.
What have you been loving in June?
