My favourite part of this time of year is definitely all the different makeup looks that come back in style – mainly the dark lips and dark eyes and dark everything. Today I’ve decided to go for the classic Autumnal look – golden eyes and berry lips. It’s everyone’s favourite, probably my favourite for an everyday easy look, and to be honest this literally took me about 15 minutes so it’s perfect if you’re pressed for time, so let’s get into it!

Start off with your yucky bare face at the minute – which I’m actually not repulsed by right now. I just have some scarring from previous spots and that’s it!

I then go in with the Nivea Post Shave Balm as a primer and dive right in with colour correcting, for which I use the Revolution palette. I put the green on any and all redness and sweep some yellow under my eyes and I’m good to go in with foundation!

I have a very love/hate relationship with NARS Sheer Glow. Sometimes it works really well with my skin, and other times not so much. I’m loving how flawless my skin looks when I use this, especially in pictures, but I find that after a few hours it tends to disappear from the oily areas. Since my skin is being especially kind to me today, I don’t even need to use any more concealer. Win!

After powdering with my Rimmel Stay Matte I start to contour. I use Benefit’s Hoola as my contour and bronzer then NARS Orgasm to give some colour to my pale cheeks. I then fill in my eyebrows with the Sleek Eyebrow Kit and it’s at this point that I begin to feel more human. Usually I would also bake my face right now but at the time of photographing for this post I had actually ran out of my translucent powder. It’s October…Better prepare early than late though right?

I’m gonna be using the Maybelline – – palette on my eyes today – this is one of my favourite drugstore palettes for a quick everyday look! I’ve labelled the shades I’ve used – I just swept shade 1 (a very true gold) across my eyelids then used 2 (a deeper, bronzer gold) in the crease and outer corners to add some depth.

I’m still in a huff with my eyeliner so I will not be doing any of that today, just mascara. I’ve gone for the Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara – one that I’ve never tried before but got in the kit I was given for my birthday. It’s not my favourite Benefit mascara (RollerLash forever) but I’m quite impressed!

Now my favourite part – highlighter. Champagne Pop will always and forever be one of my favourite highlighters, so I just had to use it. It gives the most amazing glow and I love the bronzey undertones.

Finally, lips! I lined my lips using the PS Pro lipliner felt tip pin included in the October Glossybox and popped some Gerard Cosmetics ultra matte lip in Ruby Slipper! I find this to be the perfect Autumnal purple shade – the staying power of this is also amazing and it doesn’t feel too drying on the lips!

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy makeup look, stay tuned for more Blogmas posts coming throughout December!
