Helloooo blog post number 50!
I originally wasn’t going to do a September Favs but the perfectionist in me said I have to. You just cannot miss a month out, even if you haven’t been loving anything new. SO LET’S GO.
This is hands down my favourite lipstick right now, just LOOK at how Autumnal it is! It’s like the embodiment of Autumn in a lipstick. I actually bought this in September last year and haven’t really worn it since, but since clearing out my lipstick collection a few weeks ago I’ve found a love for it. I think I’ve worn this pretty much every single day since the start of October. I’m not usually a fan of Mac things, I don’t own many lipsticks or anything else but this is definitely worth picking up.
I feel like I’ve definitely mentioned this in a blog post before…Oh well, here it is again. I was really unimpressed with this when I first got it, I would apply it with my finger then blend it with my Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer brush and nothing would happen. I tried Boing again recently, this time using a small flat Ecotools brush to apply it and the Zoeva 110 Face Shape brush to blend and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve actually given up foundation for the moment and am only wearing this concealer in an attempt to make my skin a little better!
Have I included this in another blog post too? I think I definitely have. I’m just not with it today. This palette is my go-to everyday palette for a very neutral eye look. I love how they’re all matte (I’m not a big fan of shimmer) and they’re so easy to blend. My most used shadow are W.O.S, Naked 2 and Faint, and I find that with some mascara as well it just makes me look that little bit more awake, which is always needed.
BLEACH LONDON COLOURED SHAMPOO
So I haven’t actually used this specific violet shampoo yet but I used the rose one and although it didn’t work as well as I had hoped, I still loved the results. I love how you just pop this on, leave it for a while, then you have coloured hair! And it washes out relatively quickly so you don’t have to worry if you don’t like it. They have such a wide range of colours, though I only opt for the pastel ones, so I can’t wait to experiment a little bit more.
THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS BY VANESSA DIFFENBAUGH
I think this is the first time I’ve included a book in my favourites post – I don’t read as often as I’d like. I’ve actually reread this book so many times, it’s one of my favourites. It’s about a homeless girl who gets a part time job with a florist, and without giving too much away it follows the story of her and her former foster mother Elizabeth in the past. It’s gripping and emotional and it included a list of the meaning of all the flowers in the back which I LOVE.
Is this a weird one? It’s in here anyway. I’m so obsessed with these little star things, they’re so amazing. If you don’t love Lindt – what is wrong with you? I pick one of these little babies up after work every single day.
I hope you enjoyed this VERY late September Favourites, I’ll do better to be on time with October’s. What were you loving through September?
